Kitchen Project

For the Lighting/Texturing I final, we were given a fully modeled kitchen to texture and light in two different scenes. I chose a spooky, tense scene for the first image and a relaxing, romantic scene for the second.

For the first image, I used a sickly green and yellow color palette. I arranged the lights in a way to create a sort of vignette effect that really draws the attention to the knife (which I modeled in my Modeling/Rigging I class). I really like how the chair cushion and floor textures came out.

For the second image, I lightened up the mood by giving the room a red and golden honey palette. It took a while for me to achieve the right glass texture for the bottles. Like all other CG projects, I wish I had a little more time to perfect this before the deadline but I’m pretty happy with the way it came out.
